The aim of the course is -

The aim of this qualification is to enable candidates to attain the knowledge and competencies needed to deal with Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillation (AED).
Every second matters and this AED training course teaches the essential skills that an AED operator needs and gives them the confidence to act quickly and effectively in an emergency.

The course is a mixture of theory and practical training / exercises.

Course Objectives -

On successful completion of this course, candidates will be able to demonstrate the practical administration of safe, prompt, effective CPR and use of an AED in emergency situations. Candidates will also:

  • Understand Basic Life Support requirements
  • Be able to perform the Basic Life Support technique of CPR
  • Understand the safety considerations in the use of an AED
  • Be able to perform the Basic Life Support technique of AED
  • Carry out basic user maintenance and troubleshoot problems with the AED
  • Be able to perform post resuscitation procedures, including the Recovery Position
  • Be able to manage a Choking casualty

Venue - Either on-site at clients’ premises or at ITS Training Centre
